Speaker:
Stephen Wills, CMA, CFM, CPA
Our "official" program on Wednesday February 13th continues the Table Topics introduction and discussion of software. Professor Stephen Wills shares a broad perspective as we discuss emerging issues, technology, and audit issues. Are we building in audit success readiness? For many a continuing risk focuses on internal control. Recently released information on the Department of Defense Audit reveals the adverse comments related to internal control. Outside audit success begins with the continuous audit mentality required to build relevance and reliability into the general ledger, cost system, and reporting. Financial reports as well as managerial reports are subject to bias and inaccuracies. How is the CMA relevant? CMA 2020 is the framework of discussion.

Please join us at the Largo Academic Center, Wednesday February 13th for an informal buffet, salads, veggies and fruit. This will be our final UMUC Largo event of the 2018/2019 local program year. March, April and May dinner meetings return to Rosslyn.

Our speakers are scheduled for 4 pm and 5:30 pm. Complete schedule presented below. Please join the conversation!
