Economics of Health and Healthcare

Over recent decades it has become clear that prevailing economic paradigms are influenced by free market thinking and individualistic cultural norms, deeply influencing societal choices and healthcare delivery in the USA. This narrative intertwined with politics and prevailing social norms shapes the political economy and is starkly evident in health by millions of lives lost every year. The necessity to adjust capital investment, care offerings and the culture of healthcare delivery shifts the country to a health-oriented political economy. Rethinking the economics of healthcare to be health-focused and successfully supported by the political narrative is the topic of this discussion. Please join us for this event!
