The Ethics of Data Management frame our accounting and reporting systems. Emerging reporting requirements related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as well as to Sustainability, require ethically focused decision making by every member of the reporting team. Data collection is the key first step in meeting the goal to present relevant and reliable information to stakeholders. Auditing ESG disclosures creates the team of auditors as well as responsibilities for stakeholders of organizations being audited.  Join our discussion to learn more about ESG as well as ethical data management. Management accountants serve as key members of data collection and reporting efforts. Your attendance will increase awareness of ethical decision making relative to ESG.

Our speaker will be Kathleen Sobieralski, Accounting Professor and Program Director, School of Business, University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC).
